What a couple of cuties! This was Rhiannon's first trip ice fishing, and our first in 4 or 5 years. We went to Grammie and Grampy's camp in Stetson. Dave drilled 5 holes, just in front of the camp, and had Rhiannon help him scoop them out and set the traps. Well, he gave her the scoop, and walked up to the truck to get something, I was taking pictures....and said to Dave, "You're going to leave her alone out there with the scoop?" And Dave says, "She'll be fine, we're just right here." Now, I didn't mean she wouldn't be fine, I meant, he wasn't near the scoop....and yup, first hole, scoop down in the lake!! Maybe this spring we will be able to find it!!
Rhiannon helped bait the hook, and then helped reel in some of the traps when they went off. We would hang out in camp, keeping warm and playing/eating, and then Dave would yell "FLAGGGGGGGGG" and we would get dressed really fast and run out. Fishing wasn't all that productive, but we caught 4 pickerel, 2 big, 2 small.
