Weekend at camp

I spent the weekend with Trisha's family out to camp. Due to a flat tire and a few other problems I didn't get out there until about 3pm. When I did getthere everyone was napping so I took my Kayak over to "crappie Island" to try catching some on my 2wt. They were there, and put a good bend in the 2!!




Later that afternoon Bunker and I went looking for some Largemouths. We spent a couple hours out, but we were only able to manage one Pickerel. Just before dark we went back and picked up Rhiannon and headed back to crappie island. We caught several more crappie and we would let her reel them in and let them go.




After a while she said she wanted to fish with a bobber, so we gave her a spin rod with a rubber worm and put a boober on it. A couple minuetes later she started hollering, and her pole was doubled over. After a few minuetes and a little help, she landed the only bass of the day.

West Branch Penobscot

I went with my sister in law Dana to the west branch of the penobscot today. It was her first time fishing for Salmon on a fly rod. She seemed to get the hang of it pretty quick. Although the spot I wanted was taken, we found other places to fish and caught nine fish between us.

Berry Picking

Rhiannon, Trisha, and I decide to go out this morning to see if we could find any Raspberries or blackberries to make a pie with. We drove out the studd mill rd and spent a couple hours looking around. We got barely enough berries for a small pie, but had fun anyway!!
