Penobscot in Bucksport

Fished the outgoing tide from 5:30 to 8:30 near the boat launch on verona island on a tip from a friend. Got some good casting practice, and one rat just before I left. I did get to see a big Navy or coast guard ship that was anchored in Bucksport. I also did a little exploring in the area and found another spot that looks preaty interesting. I talked to a local that said the fishing seemed to slow down about 2 weeks ago.

Union River

Well I went down to fish the salt with Kevin and Peter since they have obviously been having so much fun down there. Unfortunately they both had busy schedules and were unable to join me. Peter was nice enough to meet me there to show me where they have been fishing. Fishing was ok, fast action for a short period where I caught some rats and hooked one bigger one that broke me off. Later I went exploring a little further south and found a place where a small stream enters the bay. There was an unbelievable amount of bait there, but no fish. A local stopped by to talk and he said he had never seen so much bait in the water.
Great day and I would like to thank Peter again for taking the time to show me around!!!
